When the meat grinder goes up, hit and all the mudokons on-screen will perk up. When they are down to the next floor, use the lever to make the meat grinder slow for the mudokon on the far left. Again, this is a key game element, so I won't specify these buttons each time you need to recruit mudokons. You can walk up to them and get their attention with, then get them to follow you one at a time with. Go back up and use the lever on the top to remove the electric barrier and get the 3 mudokons across the meat grinder. It would be best to memorize this as this is a key game element, so I won't specify the buttons each time you need to chant. Chant by holding + to possess the slig, then kill him by holding + again. When you drop down, quickly run and drop to the next floor before the slig gets you. Hit while standing over it to go into the first of six secret areas in the level.ĭrop down and use the lever to get past the electricity, then get to the ledge. Start by running to the right and go to the barrel in the foreground. Keep checking this and always make sure the numbers match up.

There are screens throughout the factory showing you how many mudokons you've rescued, how many still need to be rescued, and how many casualties there are. I won't tell you where to quick save, save for a few areas, but I would suggest to do it as often as possible in case you accidentally kill a mudokon or die after a hard platforming bit. It may take some getting used to but this feature will be your best friend in this game. Press the button ONCE to 'Quiksave', move forward a few steps and then HOLD the button to 'Quikload' back to the position you 'Quiksaved' at. I'd also recommend testing this out before moving onto another area because if it is used incorrectly you may end up wiping a small amount of progress. One of the most important buttons you will use in this game is the 'Quiksave' button. The button is to jump, is used for interacting with the environment, is for crouching and is used to show you the health bar which you don't need to worry about. The D-Pad is used for speech commands when interacting with other mudokons, holding the button allows Abe four extra dialogue options so keep this in mind for some of the later interactions with mudokons. I'd advise getting to grips with how Abe controls before moving onto the next area. If you get it, that's great, but if not, you'll get it easily on your playthrough where you rescue no mudokons. There's an achievement in this level to avoid being spotted by any sligs.

Don't worry about going fast as we're going to get the "speedrun" achievement on a separate playthrough on easy to make it way easier.Īfter the first cutscene, you will gain control of Abe. It really isn't that difficult, and there's no need to play through the game on easy and normal first if you're following a walkthrough. We're going to do our first playthrough on Hard.
